Have you ever felt stuck, wishing for your desires to come true, but unsure how to make them happen? Manifesting, the art of attracting your desires into reality, can seem downright impossible at times.

But what if I told you there was a simple, three-step framework to absolutely guarantee manifestation success?

Introducing the Be Do Have model: your new secret weapon for manifesting your Ideal Future Life? Go grab some matcha and buckle up because today you’re going to learn something truly life-changing.

What Is The Be Do Have Model?

The Be Do Have model, a model originally created by Stephen Covey, flips the script on traditional goal setting.

Here’s the core idea:

Most people focus on what they want to achieve (the “Have”) and then figure out how to get it (the “Do”).

The Be Do Have model flips this and instead emphasizes becoming the person who can achieve your goals (the “Be”) first.

In essence, the Be Do Have model helps you develop the right mindset to achieve your goals. It’s about becoming the person who can get what you want, not just waiting for it to happen.

Why The Be Do Have Model Works

The Be Do Have model flips the traditional approach of “doing” things to get what you “have” (money, success, love). Instead, it emphasizes the importance of being the person who already possesses those things.

Focusing on “Be” first increases your chances of success. It helps you develop the right habits and mindset, instead of wasting your precious time and energy on what doesn’t really matter.

Create A Winner Mindset

The traditional “Do-Have-Be” (aka how you’re probably doing life right now!) approach often leads to two problematic mindsets:

Victim Mentality

Thought example: “I don’t have what I need to succeed”

Problem: This causes you to wait for external circumstances to change before taking action–and therefore you end up in an infinite loop of unhappiness.

Worker Mentality

Thought example: “The more I do, the happier I’ll be”

Problem: This mindset ties your self-worth to yourr achievements. Many of us have been programmed to think this way (through capitalism and other toxic limiting beliefs). But working hard does not always create what you want. Working harder very often also creates burnout, unhappiness, and overall dissatisfaction with life.

Be Do Have = Winner Mentality

Instead, the Be Do Have model for manifestation aligns with a Winner Mentality, by focusing on who you need to be to achieve your goals.

It emphasizes becoming the person who can achieve your goals (the “be”) This, in turn, empowers you to take action and build the right habits for success (the “do”).

The Be Do Have Model & Manifestation

In the world of manifestation, you don’t manifest what you want. If that was true, you’d have everything you wanted by now!

Instead, you manifest from who you are, including your subconscious beliefs about yourself and the world.

That’s why I’m always talking about the importance of subconscious manifestation and that’s also why the Be Do Have model works so well. It targets the exact layers of your mindset that need an upgrade/

How To Manifest With The Be Do Have Model To Manifest: 4 Steps To Get What You Want

Grab your notebook and let’s go! Here’s a breakdown of the four steps:

Step 1: Decide On Your Goal

With no specific goal in mind, there can be no manifestation! Always start by defining exactly what it is that you’re going after. Money? Pick a dollar amount. Love? Define what love really means to you.

Don’t get lazy here and assume the Universe will just pick something out for you! Get clear, focused. and decide on your ideal outcome before you proceed. Write it down to make sure you really understand it.

Step 2: Be

Now that you know what you want, start thinking about who you need to become in order to achieve that goal. Grab your notebook and brainstorm out a big list.

  • Who do you need to be to achieve your desire? Imagine the qualities and traits associated with having your goal.
  • What kind of person would achieve this goal? What are their personality traits?
  • What habits, behaviors, and mindset do they have?

After you have a list, you can begin to “work” on creating those feelings and thoughts.

Once you have a vision, practice embodying the emotions and traits you described. For example: are you confident, abundant, or secure? What does it feel like to be them? To take their actions? To think their thoughts? (The more you practice embodying this, the better!)

Practice feeling all those feelings now. For example, if you want to feel grateful when you reach your goal, start practicing gratitude now (e.g., volunteer, donate). Your brain will easily trick your body into feeling some very real feelings–even if they’re not based in reality yet! By actively experiencing these emotions, you’re training your brain for success.

Step 3: Do

Identity alignment is a great start but we also need to follow it all up with action. This means taking steps that feel natural and aligned with your new identity, whether those things come from logic or intuition.

Again, grab your notebook and start writing down all your ideas.

What are all the steps you need to take to achieve your goal? If it’s a big goal, try breaking it down into a few milestones and work backwards from there.

Action steps might be learning a new skill, going to a networking event, sending a cold email, or signing up for a new dating app.

Then, make it a point to start actually doing those things. Put them on your calendar or To-Do list. It doesn’t have to be everything, all at once. But the point of taking action is not only to get you actually closer to your goals but to help you grow as a person.

As you move through this phase, also take action on any intuitive hits or golden opportunities that fall into your lap. While there’s a lot we can consciously plan for, sometimes the Universe will just throw something into your path. Going after those things will often up-level your life the fastest–even if it doesn’t seem to make sense at first.

Step 4: Have

As you consistently cultivate the “being” and take inspired actions, you’ll naturally attract the “having” – the manifestation of your desire. It becomes a harmonious flow, rather than a forced pursuit.

This step isn’t so much an action step but a point on the road to let you know you’ve successfully manifested! It’s about receiving and letting the Universe meet you half-way.

At the end of your manifestation journey, don’t forget to step into gratitude and thank both yourself and the Universe for this achievement!
