Does The Love Letter Method for Manifestation Work?
Last Updated on August 15, 2026
Looking for a powerful yet straightforward way to manifest love? Good news: The Love Letter method for love manifestation might just be the perfect technique for you.
I recently came across this method but I’m already excited to share it with my readers and clients. That’s because it works.
It’s called the The Love Letter Method–and yes, you can use it to manifest love but also anything else you might be after.
The premise is simple: you write a love letter to yourself as if it were coming from your specific person, ideal partner, or whoever else might be appropriate.
The reason I love it is simple: it takes the focus off of them and puts it back onto you. No more “Will they like me??” Pickmesha thoughts! Instead, we’re falling in love with ourself and our own magic–at the same time as putting out the manifestation intention that someone else will see that magic too.
Pretty cool, eh?
Why Self-Love Matters
We live in a world that often bombards us with negativity. This can take a toll on our mental well-being, leading to self-doubt and a lack of hope.
Often, this impacts our ability to manifest love. Subconsciously, we’re looking for our partner to give us the love we can’t give to ourselves. However, that deeply rooted need does the very opposite of what we want it to: it ends up pushing away the very thing we crave.
Instead of relying solely on external validation, Love Letter Manifestation encourages us to become our own cheerleaders. It challenges you to truly see and celebrate your own magic. After all, a romantic relationship (or any manifestation goal) isn’t just about you! You are also bringing something to the table.
Let’s focus on that! Let’s see it, own it and get excited about it. You are a gift, just as much as they are.
The Power of Words
The words we use have a profound impact on us. By writing a love letter from the perspective of someone who cares deeply about you, you can start to internalize that message and rewrite your old internalized messages of low self-worth and lack.
Most of us have very little practice with thinking or saying positive things about ourselves. But that’s crazy if you think about it! After all, what’s wrong with seeing and claiming your own awesomeness? A healthy level of narcissism is good for your mental well-being, not something to feel shame about.
Unlike journaling, which can sometimes lead to dwelling on negative emotions, Love Letter Manifestation focuses on building positivity. By reading these letters regularly, you can retrain your brain to focus on your strengths and potential.

How To Use The Love Letter Manifestation Method
The Basic Method
Here’s how it works:
Every night, before sleep, write a love letter with your goal in mind. It can be addressed to yourself, to a specific person you admire, or simply “To My Love,” whoever feels right.
Find a Quiet Space
Create a calm environment where you can focus on your thoughts and feelings. Maybe burn some incense or light a candle.
Get Ready
Take a few deep breaths, center yourself, and then focus in on what you want to manifest.
Choose Your “Author”
From here, ask yourself: who will write this letter? You? A past supporter, your future partner, or your imaginary best friend?
Some examples:
Channel Past Supporters
Think back to someone who believed in you, perhaps a teacher or a former partner. Imagine what they might say to encourage you now.
A Future Love
Visualize your ideal future relationship. What qualities would your ideal partner admire in you? Write a letter from their perspective celebrating those qualities. (Or vice versa!)
Your Inner Best Friend
Create a fictional best friend who sees your potential and supports your dreams. Let them write you a letter filled with words of encouragement and support.
Speak From or To Your Soul
Imagine you’re writing to your soulmate. It can be about your day or anything that comes to mind. Often, people find themselves expressing things their ideal partner would love to hear. Let the words flow naturally, expressing love, encouragement, and belief in your potential.
Eleven Minutes
Set a timer and aim to keep writing for eleven minutes. By the end, you should feel like you’ve written a heartfelt letter to a cherished loved one.
Read and Repeat
After you’ve written your letter, set aside time to come back and re-read it daily. Your aim is to reconnect and solidify the positive messages you wrote. For bonus points, read it out loud (or maybe try to memorize it and recite it in the shower or car). Personally, I like to re-read it right before going to sleep to help those messages get into my subconscious mind.
Love Letter Method #1: Manifest A Specific Person or Manifest Love
There’s no doubt that the Love Letter Method (as made popular by HotHighPriestess on YouTube) is the most popular for manifesting love. It achieves this by letting us see ourselves as worthy and deserving of that love we so desire.
To do this: Pretend you are them: either your SP (specific person) or an ideal partner that you’ve in your mind.
Now look back at yourself from their perspective and write yourself a letter from them, as if you are madly in love.
Tell them how you feel about you, what you appreciate about you, talk about things you do together (real or imagined). Make it feel as real and natural as you possibly can. Don’t be afraid to get deep and truly accept yourself with this. The more feeling you tap into here, the better!
Love Letter Method #2: Attract Money
Ready to attract more money into your life? Yes, the Love Letter Method works for that too. However, this method requires a little magical thinking: believing money to be an entity, just like a person.
To do this: Pretend you are money. Put on the perspective that you are money, looking back at you.
Now write yourself a letter from money’s perspective.
What does money feel like with you or around you? What does it get from your presence and energy?
Write about how smart, creative, innovative, etc. you are. Write about your work, talk about the deal you just made etc. Write about how money just loves your energy, wants to be around you, can’t get enough of you. Get in the energy of money being excited to be around you and just watch how your world begins to change.

Love Letter Method #3: Attract Confidence
This Love Letter Method creates confidence by allowing you to truly appreciate yourself through the eyes of another person (whether real or imaginary). Sometimes it’s damn difficult for us to appreciate our own magic. This method uses the “hack” of using someone else’s perspective in order to get you to see these parts of you.
To do this: write yourself a letter from someone you admire or respect: like a parent, famous person, mentor etc.
Write about how proud they are of you, how unique, talented, beautiful etc. you are. Let yourself see (and ultimately feel) those parts of you that you usually have trouble seeing and celebrating.
The Neville Goddard Connection
This method creates a “scene” that implies your desire is fulfilled. Writing a love letter suggests you already have a loving partner, and you’re expressing that deep connection–whether that’s within yourself or with a specific person.
So tell me: have you tried the Love Letter Method for Manifestation? Are you inspired to try it out now? What are you going to manifest?
The love Letter method for Manifestation is a journey of self-discovery and self-love. By taking the time to write these letters to yourself or others, you can cultivate a positive inner voice, attract healthy relationships, and create a brighter future for yourself.
So why not at least give it a try? It just might be the key to attracting your perfect love.
